Nakia Cloman is a businesswoman and hair care entrepreneur. She is the ceo and founder for KiaKonnections, a distributor of hair products for the African American community. She has committed herself to enhancing the creative world of beauty.
Marginally new to the beauty industry, she has been professionally active for two years. She has served in various facets including sales, distributor, entrepreneur, and consultant. In 2011, she invested her money in virgin hair, and began selling virgin hair on a word-of-mouth basis.
KiaKonnections is based in Memphis, TN where she plans to expand on her distributorship. When there became a scarcity of affordable prices for virgin hair, she began marketing and selling her own product under KiaKonnections label. Unlike many hair providers, Nakia chose to market this product line directly to the consumers after using the product herself.
As of today, the company revenue is growing and it offers various hair products that will last long and can be used with hair color.

I have been buying hair from her since last year. Only because I love different color hair, and I can honestly say this is the best hair I’ve had so far, I have had every hair in Memphis. However, her hair is the best I’ve came across. Her customer service is THE BOMB.COM!!!! She responds and she understands. Everyone (including guys) always ask me “where do I get my hair from”? I love love love my hair. It’s soft and beautiful. I love the fact that I sent an email and got an answer back the next day. My hair arrived when she said it would. It was packaged very professionally. In this business professionalism is key. Also, the best part is after you get your hair, Kia sends an email with product suggestions and techniques you should do to be able to get the maximum life out of your purchase. I have never done a sew in before. I feel as if it’s going to be easy and worth my money just from the fact that she took the time out to tell me how to maintain my hair. Great customer service, great hair!!!!! I emailed Ms. Nakia Saturday morning and she responded 5 minutes later which that inspired me to go ahead and order the same day. This will be my third time buying Brazilian hair from her and every time I was beyond satisfied with the product and service.
